The lucky winner of the Sh221 Million SportPesa Mega jackpot has finally been revealed.
Mr Samuel Abisai correctly predicted the outcomes of 17 games and became the first Kenyan to win the Mega Jackpot which was started in September 2016 at Sh100 Million.
“When I was called by the SportPesa CEO (Ronald Karauri ) in the middle of the night, I was so happy I was standing outside a petrol station jumping up and down so much so, that the boda boda operators who were close by were wondering what was happening,” he recounted.
Abisai, who hails from Kakamega County but lives in Nairobi along Thika Road with his younger brother, also revealed the harsh times he faced while growing up.
He vowed to use part of his winnings to improve the status of his parents as well as expand his tailoring business.
It is believed that he will be accorded a financial advisor to help him plan on how to invest his big win.
Abisai, who mostly plays the midweek Jackpot and Mega Jackpot games, used Sh200 to place two Mega Jackpot bets, one of which has earned him Sh221 Million.
He normally places his bets through the SportPesa website which he said was user-friendly.
