Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko’s family is in mourning after they lost a close relative.
On Thursday, Sonko led his family in paying their last respects to the late Mama Rhoda Njura Micheck.
Mama Misheck was the grandmother to Sonko’s wife Primrose Mbuvi.
Sonko's grandmother passed on at the age of 94 and is reported to have had a close relationship with the senator’s family.
The burial ceremony was held at Kathuri village in Runyenjes Sub-county, Embu County.
Among those who attended the sombre ceremony included Sonko’s daughters; Saumu, Salma, Sandra.
The Senator’s adopted sons Gift and Satrine Osinya were also at the ceremony.
Sonko Rescue team was not left behind as they joined their patron’s family at the time of their mourning.
