Students from various schools across the country had the opportunity of a life time when President Uhuru Kenyatta invited them to sit in a cabinet meeting at State House, Nairobi.
The 48 students who became the first ever in the History of Kenya to get such an opportunity are part of a mentorship programme named Pupils Rewarding Scheme (PURES).
The program is an initiative of the president aimed at sensitizing future leaders on ethical and committed leadership, honesty and patriotism.
They witnesses the 5th cabinet meeting in session as various issues including the recent cholera menace in the country were discussed.
The students are also set to visit other institutions including Parliament, the Department of Defense and Judiciary.
According to State House, the program seeks to encourage students to aspire to be future leaders as well as inculcating the right leadership values in them at an early age.
The mentorship program is set to include more students with time.
