Tens of suspected Al-shabaab militia men on Saturday morning intruded Baluma village in Lamu County and preached to the inhabitants.
The militants are said to have flushed out villagers from their homes at around 5am, gathered them at a central place then preached to them for one hour.
According to an eye witness, the suspected gunmen were dressed in green clothes and even included women and white men.
The heavily armed militants told the residents not to use military or police vehicles since those were their targets.
They were further warned them not to inform the police about their meeting threatening that they would come back and torch the whole village.
