Teacher Dies While Addressing Governor

A retired teacher collapsed and died on Wednesday at a meeting convened to resolve an alleged grabbing of a piece of land in Kerarapon, Kajiado County.

The 60-year-old collapsed while explaining a point to Governor David Nkedianye who had arranged the forum in a bid to put the matter to rest.

In the meeting held at Embulmbul area near Ngong, the deceased lamented to the Governor saying that the public land had been taken forcefully by a former councillor. According to a report by the star, the man said that on the supposed grabbed land, a hospital was to be built.

However, some people in the gathering disagreed with him and instead defended the former politician.

The man is said to have collapsed while airing his concern and was pronounced dead upon reaching the hospital.

Following the incident, Governor Nkedianye who was accompanied by a number of County Assembly members closed the forum.
