Teenagers Arraigned in Court for Robbery with Violence

Three teenagers from Mombasa county were arraigned in a court in the county on charges of robbery with violence.

Today, the three have been released on a Sh1 million bond each.

Shocked residents are yet to come to terms with the news of the three young men -all under 20 years of age- having been arrested for the crime.

Hassan Aman Ali, Sadan Hassan Ashuu and Mohamed Ibrahim Shee are accused of having attacked and robbed Mohamed Abdulrahman.

They allegedly stole two mobile phones cumulatively worth Sh115,000 on July 18, 2015.

The trio also stands accused of having robbed Mohamed Salam off his wrist watch and other valuables amounting to Sh40,000 on the same day.

A further charge of illegal possession of drugs faces the teenagers, Citizen News reports.

They denied all the charges.

Chief Magistrate Susan Shitubi slapped a Sh 1million bond on each of the suspect, with a surety of the same amount.

The case has been scheduled for August 21, 2015.
