DP Ruto

Deputy President William Ruto was the subject of online discussion after reports emerged that he held talks with a section of leaders from ODM at his Karen home.

The meeting is said to have taken place on Wednesday when the leaders from Wajir County visited him led by Eldas lawmaker Adan Keynan.

According to sources privy to the session, the meeting was meant to discuss among other issues the drought menace that has hit their county.

The trend was further fueled by revelations that President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP Ruto are set to receive a 10 percent pay rise from July this year.

A majority of Kenyans expressed anger after United States Congressman Ted Budd claimed that he had information of fraudulent deals in a Sh43 Billion contract to purchase arms for the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF).

In his argument, the North Carolina Republican stated that the contract was awarded without competitive bidding to L-3 Communications to produce 12 aircrafts, which, according to him “had no experience or track record producing this kind of aircraft.”

Many expressed disappointment fearing that this was yet another scandal that was being exposed under the Jubilee administration.
