VIDEO: Family Breaks into Dramatic Fight After Mother Returns

There was drama in Kisii Estate, Thika, when a woman who had been allegedly locked inside her matrimonial house for three months by her husband, finally escaped.

However, an angry 48-year-old Virginia Wangari went back home on Monday, vehemently demanding for her children saying she was done with her marriage of two decades that had brought a lot of grief.

Chaos erupted at the home when Wangari, who was shaking with rage, started yelling while banging the gate demanding to get her last born baby who is only six months old.

A family fight ensued which even involved the children throwing blows at one another, with some supporting their mother while one of the daughter's indisputably fought on her father's side.

An enraged Wangari claimed that her husband had been beating her for a long time but always persevered hoping that the situation would one day change.

The neighbours who, were astonished by the ugly scene, said they had never entered the Kamotho's residence as the gate was always locked. They further indicated that Virginia kept her pain to herself and could not contain it any longer.

Virginia has been married to one Samuel Kamotho for 20 years and together have eleven children.

Kamotho denied ever laying a hand on his wife for the two decades they have lived together.

"I have been with her for over 20 years, why should I fight with her. If you beat someone here, in this mansion the screams shall be heard," Kamotho gave his side of the story.

This comes in the wake of numerous domestic violence reports in the country.

Last week, a six-month pregnant woman was brutally clobbered by her husband in Lang'ata estate, Nairobi. The video of the cruel act went viral on social media prompting the public to demand the arrest of the husband.
