VIDEO: Lion Swept Away by Floods

A video has surfaced on social media showing a lion reportedly at the Nairobi National Park being carried away by floods while trying to cross a river.

The troubled lion is seen trying to get to the other side of the park by stepping carefully into waters of the raging river when it was finally washed away.

It is believed that the floods were as a result of the heavy downpour currently pounding most parts of the country.

The recording posted on Facebook caught the attention of many online as it comes at a time the wild cats have been wandering off the park causing anxiety among communities bordering the reserve.

It is yet to be known if the beast survived the deadly waters.

A few days ago a lion popularly known as Mohawk, was gunned down by KWS rangers, after it sneaked from the park to Isinya town where it injured a bodaboda operator.

The move by the KWS officers to kill Mohawk was greatly condemned both by Kenyans and the international Community.
