VIDEO: Ole Kaparo Chased Away in Kisumu

The National Cohesion and Integration Commission Chairman Francis Ole Kaparo was on Wednesday chased away after trying to address residents of Kisumu County.

Kaparo who had arrived with his team to calm clashes that have been ongoing along the Kisumu-Nandi border received harsh words from the residents who seemed angry with him.

When the NCIC boss arrived at Kopere market which has been hard hit by the clashes, Kaparo was met by irate dwellers who heckled and stopped him from addressing them.

A seemingly enraged woman is seen lecturing the former National Assembly Speaker despite efforts by Kaparo to cool her down.

Mr Kaparo then proceeded to Songor village in the same county where he was met by Nyando MP Fred Outa and his Muhoroni counterpart James Onyango who publicly spat rage on him blocking him from talking to the residents.

The local leaders adamantly maintained that he would not run any meeting in the area, complaining over laxity of security agents.

Residents blamed police officers of colluding with attackers who have been raiding the village to steal cattle, incodents which have led to several deaths.

Efforts by Kaparo to accomplish his reconciliation mission hit a snag forcing him to leave the area unceremoniously.
