VIDEO: Pastor Ng'ang'a Reveals Fresh Accident Details

Televangelist pastor James Ng’ang’a has come out with new details on the controversial road accident that led to the death of one person and injuring another.

Contrary to earlier reports that he had been at Tigoni police station to record a statement over the said accident, Pastor Ng’ang’a denied having ever set foot at the station.

“I challenge anyone who saw me there to come forward and prove otherwise,” he said.

He also pointed out that the whole matter was being propagated by a media house which he accused of intentions to “kill” his ministry and also “pull him down”.

He highlighted that he is in a court battle with the media company, which he declined to name; “There is a media we have (sic) two or three cases in court, and the same media is on front line to fight me,” he said.

The pastor distanced himself from the claims against him, maintaining that he was neither behind the wheel nor does the range-rover, caught up in the accident, belong to him.

“The car that was involved in the accident is not mine. You can check with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) to find out under whose name it is registered,” claimed Ng’ang’a.

He added that he was not at the accident scene, noting that he only followed up on the matter after receiving reports that a member of his church was involved in an accident on the said route.

The evangelist, however, took a swipe at journalists for what he termed as false reporting of the incident saying he had not been accorded the right of response.

“Journalists should be professional while executing their role. It is wrong to take a picture of me on my wedding day and juxtaposing it with that of a dead person,” he complained.

This comes in the wake of a fresh report, from Inspector General of police Joseph Boinett recommending charges of causing death against pastor Ng’ang’a.

The pastor is accused of causing an accident at Manguo area in Limuru, that killed a woman and left her husband seriously injured.

The fate of the pastor’s case now lies with the Director of Public Prosecutions who received the report yesterday.
