A CCTV recording has emerged online showing what happened on Tuesday when a matatu crashed into a Bakers Inn shop in Nairobi near Railways Terminus.
In the video, a lady presumably a customer at the shop is seen standing near the counter when the 14-seater van rammed into the shop thrusting her forward.
After the accident, workers who were on the other side of the counter are seen trying to save her.
A security guard manning the premises died during in the incident while 13 others were injured.
The shocking accident brought business along the busy Moi Avenue to a standstill as members of the public rushed to have a glimpse of what had happened.
According to witnesses, the driver of the matatu lost control at the roundabout and hit pedestrians outside the bakery.
The matatu which reportedly belongs to St Mary's Sacco was towed from the shop and the injured taken to the Kenyatta National Hospital.
