What Kiambu Millionaire Reportedly told His Killer Moments Before Death

More details are emerging in connection to the death of the tycoon from Kiambu County who was two weeks ago allegedly stabbed by a butcher over a Sh500 bill.

The family of Moses Macua now reveals that when their father was rushed to hospital, his Nissan Navara double cabin pick-up was broken into by unknown people who also made their way into the late Macua's office at Juja where they took some documents.

At the burial of the slain tycoon last Thursday, it is reported that mourners who spoke at the ceremony suspected that Macua's death was organised by people known to him.

“We want the police to probe all his business associates and close friends since we do not trust some of them. We feel some of them may have had a hand in his death,” said a family member.

However, a witness working at the same premises said that Macua was angered by the 'killer' butcher who asked for a Sh500 debt owed to him by Macua's brother, Standard reports.

According to the witness, the tycoon told his colleague to go get the money from his mother.

This statement is said to have offended the butcher who picked a knife and allegedly stabbed Mr Macua in the stomach.

It is reported that the slain tycoon was first taken to the Police Station before being rushed to Ruiru Level Four Hospital, a move that Macua's daughters and other family members questioned, saying that someone wanted their father dead.

“We are calling for conclusive investigations into the real cause of Macua’s death. We also want the police to investigate why the deceased, who was then bleeding profusely, was not rushed to the hospital in order to save his life but was instead taken to the police station,” said John Macua a cousin to the deceased.

Moses Macua was pronounced dead upon arrival to the hospital.
