County Officials 'Burnt' Makueni Assembly - Governor

Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has unearthed critical information concerning the inferno that razed down the County Assembly offices on Monday.

Kibwana revealed that he had earlier sent a message from 'intelligence' to the Assembly Speaker Stephen Ngelu, informing him of a planned attack on the County Assembly offices.

“Please take extra care some intelligence say that some people want to disable or even remove some computers from your premises,” Kibwana's text to the Speaker read.

According to the Makueni County Boss, it is speculated that the fire could have been an inside job to get rid of imporant information stored in the offices.

However, police are still investigating the cause of the fire and the new revelations from the Governor could give a different direction to the probe.

The fire broke out at 3am on Monday burning the Speaker's office, the chambers and other nearby offices.
