The family of presumably Kenya's most lethal female boxer of all time, Conjestina Achieng', is calling for help as the ex-boxer is now threatening their safety.
Achieng' popularly known as Conje reportedly fled a rehabilitation centre in Kisumu last weekend, and has since been causing mayhem at her rural home in Yala, Siaya County.
His brother William Ochieng' told the Star that the family was worried of their safety since the former boxer had resorted to punching everyone around her.
A medical officer at the Foundation of Hope Rehabilitation centre confirmed Conjestina's escape asking her family to make arrangements and return her to the facility.
“We are aware she escaped but have asked the family to make arrangements of returning her here,” the medic confirmed.
Conjestina has been to several hospitals in Nairobi and Kisumu in an attempt to treat her illness but to no avail.
She is reported to be mentally unstable despite being at one point an icon to many aspiring female boxers in the country.
