NTV investigative journalist Dennis Okari on Friday finally succumbed to pressure to address speculations of separation between him and KTN news anchor Betty Kyalo.
Appearing in an interview on Radio Jambo, the interviewer asked Okari what was happening in his relationship especially after Kyallo dropped the name “Okari” - which she had been using on TV and social media.
In response to the seemingly tough question, Okari responded: “Nothing is happening… I just see the rumours and hear people talking about it.”
However, the radio host pressed further and even made the question more direct on whether they were still a couple with Kyalo.
The interviewer asked: “So you two are still together?”
In the video capturing the moment, Okari does not respond verbally but he nods to the question in a manner suggesting that they were still together.
The NTV journalist got married to the KTN news anchor on October 2, 2015, in one of the most colourful weddings before they flew out for their honeymoon in Dubai.
Barely a year after their wedding, reports emerged that the two had separated but none of them has ever come clean on the presumed break up.
It's not clear whether the couple is still together or separated especially after Okari seemed to suggest nothing was wrong with their marriage.
