KOsewe Restaurant Owner William Osewe Shot in Nairobi

A popular Nairobi businessman was on Thursday shot and seriously wounded in Nairobi's Kasarani estate.

William Osewe, owner of K'osewe Ranalo Restaurant was shot in the stomach near Roasters along Thika Road following an argument with one of his friends.

According to reports, Mr Osewe and the attacker identified as Oywa Mboya had been spotted together taking lunch before they reportedly got into an argument over a woman.

It is at this point that Mboya, a licensed gun holder, shot the businessman thrice with one bullet exiting and injuring a security guard in the area.

The assailant later surrendered to police officers claiming that he was acting in self-defence since Mr Osewe had attacked him first.

He was immediately disarmed while the victim was rushed to hospital as the police commenced investigations into the incident.

K'Osewe is well known for its tantalizing fish. In August, the eatery played host to CORD leader Raila Odinga as he had lunch with leaders arrested and detained at Pangani and Muthaiga Police stations over hate speech.

Odinga enjoyed a meal alongside Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, Ngunjri Wambugu (Bahati), Aisha Jumwa (Kilifi), Florence Mutua (Busia), Timothy Bosire (Kitutu Masaba), Junet Mohamed (Suna East) and Senator Johnson Muthama of Machakos
