President Uhuru Kenyatta Offers Walter Mongare Alias Nyambane Jubilee Job

President Uhuru Kenyatta has pulled the rug off Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero’s feet after he offered a job to his Director of Communications, Walter Mongare alias Nyambane.

Speaking in Kisii, President Kenyatta asked the youth to release the celebrated comedian - currently employed by Governor Kidero - to join him and act as the liaison for the youth in Jubilee.

Uhuru announced that Mr Mongare, a native of the region, had left the entertainment industry and joined him to work on how the youth can get jobs.

Yeye ndio ntakuwa nikitumatuma saa nyingine kuongea na nyinyi vijana. Mkiwa na maneno, mkiwa na shida mnamtafuta, anakuja mnamwongelesha anakuja kunipasha habari (I will be sending him sometimes to liaise with you, if you have any issue, pass it to him and he will communicate the same to me.”) stated Uhuru.

Prior to the announcement by Uhuru, Nyambane had worked with the Kisii County Government under Governor James Ongwae before getting wooed by Kidero to City Hall.

Nyambane as he is popularly known made a name for himself alongside John ‘KJ’ Kiarie and Tony Njuguna as a pioneering stand-up comedy group Redikyulas.

The group endeared itself to the masses in the early 2000s by creating dead-on impersonations of leaders and memorably those of the former President Daniel arap Moi.

He enjoyed huge successes in radio shows at Kiss 100 and the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC).
