Amani National Congress (ANC) Chief Musalia Mudavadi Appointed NASA Campaign Leader

The National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga has rolled out an elaborate campaign strategy composed of a team of over 500 individuals in a bid to win the August 8 polls.

In the plan, Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi has been appointed the campaign leader of NASA.

The strategy further involves the compartmentalisation of functions and assigning of roles to senior officials and strategists in the Alliance.

In the new role, Mudavadi will be supported by a Secretariat and smaller teams composed of regional leaders mostly comprising of governors. He will be answerable to the NASA pentagon.

The Secretariat will comprise of among others, businessman Jimmy Wanjigi who will be responsible for resource mobilisation, economist David Ndii and Abubakar Zein who will support the Pentagon.

There will also be another team of regional leaders composed of county coordinators, constituency coordinators and polling station managers.

According to the plan, the County coordinators will be drawn from governors mostly from the Opposition regions.

In the Coastal region, the team will be led by Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, Governor  Evans Kidero will be in charge of Nairobi with the assistance of his deputy Jonathan Mweke.

Ukambani area will be led by Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana, Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama and Kitui Governor Julius Malombe.

Governors Wycliffe Oparanya (Kakamega), Sospeter Ojaamong (Busia) and Moses Akaranga (Vihiga) will be in charge of the Western region.

Others in the plan include Kisumu Senator Anyang Nyong’o, governors Cyprian Awiti (Homa Bay), Cornel Rasanga (Siaya), Okoth Obado (Migori),  James Ongwae (Kisii), John Nyagarama (Nyamira), Joseph Nanok (Turkana), Patrick Khaemba (Trans Nzoia), David Nkedianye (Kajiado), Isaac Ruto (Bomet),  Ahmed Abdullahi (Wajir).
