President Uhuru Kenyatta Asks Kalonzo Musyoka to Join Jubilee

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday made a surprising offer to National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Kalonzo Musyoka during his campaigns of the Lower Eastern region.

The president offered Kalonzo a lucrative deal to ditch NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga to work with Jubilee.

“I urge my brother Kalonzo Musyoka not to be misled by Raila Odinga. Come and work with us. When I leave office, you can work with William Ruto and move this country forward,” he stated.

He advised the Wiper Leader to be smart about his ambitions in preparation for the 2022 campaigns suggesting that Kalonzo’s future in the opposition was uncertain.

Deputy President William Ruto echoed the president’s sentiments stating that Kalonzo would not lead his people to a “fake Canaan.”

“My brother Kalonzo is a Christian who I am sure will not allow his people to be led to a fake Canaan that chang’aa and busaa is legalised. The Canaan we know in the Bible is the one that has honey and milk," Ruto said.

The two accused the NASA team of not having a development agenda for the region assuring that Jubilee would address the water shortage in the region.

President Kenyatta said the Government had approved up to Sh40 Billion for the construction of Thwake Dam as part of efforts to transform the lives of the people in Ukambani.

Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko who was also present asked the residents to vote for Jubilee adding that even though the region didn’t support Uhuru in 2013 they still implemented some development for the Kamba community.

The Jubilee leaders were accompanied by MPs Joe Mutambo, Rachel Nyamai, former legislators Peter Kiilu, Kalemba Ndile, Peter Maundu and Gideon Ndambuki.
