Four people died on Sunday morning at Ndarugo area in Juja along the Thika superhighway after a personal car they were traveling in collided with a lorry in Kiambu County.
The victims died on the spot after their vehicle rammed into a stationary lorry as they were heading to Nairobi.
Juja OCPD Patricia Narsoo confirmed the incident adding that the victims succumbed after being trapped in the wreckage.

"It's not clear why they didn't see the lorry. A sign had been placed several meters from the truck," she noted.
The OCPD noted that bodies of the deceased had been taken to Gen Kago morgue adding that investigations into the accident have already been launched.

The bodies of the victims are yet to be identified.
There was a disrupt of the traffic for sometime as police officers and members of the public struggled to remove the bodies of the deceased from the vehicle.
This accident comes just a day after one person was killed on the same road near the Witethie stage.
