NTV Journalist Given Government Job

NTV Journalist Kennedy Muriithi was on Tuesday appointed as the Communications Director in Tharaka Nithi County.

Muriithi who works as a Parliamentary and Political Reporter at NTV will start working in the County headed by Governor Muthomi Njuki on Friday.

He described the move as a journey to new beginnings.

“I thank Nation for having given me a job for the last 5 years. I have worked with amazing people from whom I've learned from," Muriithi stated.

"I have worked with great Journalists and bosses who have encouraged me on my journey,” he added.

Last week, Former Nation Media Group journalist Wallace Kantai was appointed as the new Central Bank of Kenya Head of Communications.

Kantai was previously the Business Editor at NTV before he left in May.

According to the bank, Mr Kantai was hired because of his vast experience in the communications field.

In the past, Kantai has moderated high-profile international business panels and conferences.

He has also interviewed many prominent business personalities during his stint on the airwaves.

Before joining NTV, he was the Communications Consultant at Wananchi Group and hosted The Platform Show on Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC).
