Mr Kisompe stated that the bus has been towed to Ntulele Police Station for inspection.

The crash occurred at the spot, commonly referred to as a black spot, along that highway that claimed 41 lives in August 2013.

The accident, which got national attention, occurred after a driver lost control of the vehicle and it rolled several times.

Speaking on the accident then, President Kenyatta vowed to take stern action against vehicle owners who according to him are to blame for the accidents occurring.

Uhuru exclaimed: "We are going to take action now, not just against the drivers but even the car owners themselves.

"We are losing too many Kenyans through road accidents and the onus is us as car owners, as commuters, as traffic police, and as leaders," the Head of State affirmed.

According to NTSA statistics, the Narok-Mai Mahiu road in the past year alone has caused the death of more than 400 individuals.
