The Churchill Show's first live recording of 2019 has been postponed in light of the terror attack that occurred on Tuesday at Riverside, Nairobi.
In an announcement on social media, the show's host comedian Daniel Ndambuki stated that the recording which was to take place on Thursday had been moved to the following week.
"In solidarity with fellow Kenyans. Following the Dusit attack we hereby postpone our first live recording to next week Thursday, 24th Jan. Sorry for any inconvenience caused by this. See you next week at Carnivore," the statement read.
Since the attack, Churchill, through his pages condoled with the families of those who lost their loved ones in the attack.
"We are in prayers with everyone affected by the Riverside attack. Also, there is an urgent blood appeal at M.P Shah Hospital, Avenue Hospital and KNH. If are able to donate blood, kindly do it," read his post on Tuesday.
He went further to issue messages of hope and support to all those who contributed to help out after the attack.
"Being Kenyan is about the spirit. It goes beyond skin color or tribal affiliation. We appreciate you for the rescue efforts, blood donation and prayers. Asante sana na baraka tele!" he stated.
Churchill further expressed his admiration for Kenya Red Cross Secretary General Abbas Gullet for his effort and "leading from the front."
Gullet, on Wednesday, confirmed that over 700 people had been successfully evacuated from the premise.
In a press statement, Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet announced that the death toll had risen to 21, with 16 Kenyans, one Briton, one American, while the nationalities of the remaining three still unknown.
