Hilarious Reactions After Zipporah Wambui Karanja is Detained for Selling Insurance to Dusit Attackers

The court on Thursday detained Zipporah Wambui Karanja, an insurance agent, who sold insurance for the vehicle used by Ali Salim Gichunge alias Farouk.

The court allowed detectives to detain Karanja for 15 days pending the conclusion of investigations into the matter.

According to NTSA motor vehicle records, the car was registered to a Cynkim Investment Company Limited on October 13, 2017.

The terrorists used the Toyota Ractis KCN 340E as they opened fire at around 3pm at the complex.

A Nairobi Based Design Company, 23 Marketing, was forced to issue a statement after it was contracted to draw a skull graphic with a gas mask on the vehicle.

According to a statement issued by 23 Marketing Director Silas Marlone, the car was taken to their facility on December 13, 2018, to be branded with a skull graphic meant to hide a dent on the car.

The Director mentioned that they are not related to the terrorists in any way as they attended to them like any other client.

He added that they had shared the information with relevant authorities and will remain available in case of any questions.

It later emerged that there was another car with the same registration number which was impounded by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) department at Geojoska Apartments.

However, Kenyans online seemed rather remorseful to Karanja, claiming she was just doing her job while others made fun of the whole situation.
