Conductor Sells Land to Support Ruto’s 2022 Campaign

John Adan, a  Githurai based Matatu tout has reportedly sold ten Hectares out of his 25 hectares of land in Moyale in a bid to support Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 Presidential campaigns.

According to Adan, the intentions of selling the land were not personal but for the welfare of hustlers and the nation-at-large.

“Ruto needs a lot of money as most of his, he spends on serving God, he also needs money to deal with his critics," he told The Star.

Even though he has never met the DP, Adan warned people against tainting Ruto’s name in corrupt practices.

He asserted that the DP had worked hard to reach his current position using his own money.

Adan noted that the country had a lot of brokers and that they were the source of all Ruto’ problems, thus he would only give the cash personally to the “leader of the Hustlers’ nation”.

Surprisingly, the Githurai based tout revealed that he nearly beat up his wife who tried to prevent his customer from purchasing the land.

"I nearly differed with my wife because she was not for the idea, but you see Ruto or Myself must rule this nation, we need money to deal with critics," he maintained.

According to Brian Otieno, assistant chairman of Telaviv Travelers where Adan works, the association was completely behind him in is quest to run Ruto’s campaign in the region.

On the other hand, on May 27, Police in Kiambu arrested Weitethie MCA Julius Macharia for driving a vehicle which displayed an image of the DP as the Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces.

In addition to having Ruto's image in full military fatigue, the vehicle also had the graffiti of the Coat of Arms and the National flag of Kenya.

The vehicle was detained at Juja Police Station yard pending investigations and processing.
