Citizen TV anchor, Jeff Koinange, on Wednesday night, disclosed that Professor Hamo, his co-host at Royal Media-based radio Hot96, stunned him with a shocking revelation on Rita Kavashe, one of the women CEOs he hosted on his show JKLive show.
According to Jeff, the comedian revealed that the Isuzu MD had signed a huge pact with the Government of Kenya to supply police officers with the companies vehicles.
“By the way, Professor Hamo told me that you had one of the biggest deal with the Government of Kenya. I didn’t know that. Is it true?” Jeff queried.
The Isuzu MD casually laughed before responding calmly.
“Yes, I do. I supply the police with our vehicles. We take care of security by working for Kenyans,” Rita stated.
The award-winning journalist was amazed and heaped praised on all the female CEOs, citing how diligently they work amid stiff competition and resentment from many who still believe some jobs are set for the specific gender.
“You guys should take over Kenya. We will work for you. God bless all this amazing women and women making a change,” an enthusiastic Jeff stated.
In 2017, Kenyan vehicle manufacturers were tendered to lease police with vehicles.
While presiding over the unveiling ceremony, President Uhuru Kenyatta stated that delivery of the vehicles was a fulfilment of pledges made by the Jubilee administration to bridge the tooling gap in the police service.
Apart from Rita, Jeff hosted Jane Karuku, MD (KBL) and Serah Katusia (MD MediaCom), in honour of Bob Collymore.
