Sonko's Post of Rev Lucy Natasha's Photo Attracts Hilarious Reactions

Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko, found himself on the receiving end after posting a photo of Reverend Lucy Natasha together with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

With the photo, the flamboyant governor added a caption which insinuated that even the former premier received prayers for his undertakings to align.

"Baba mwenyewe. Handshake lazima iombewe ndio ikuwe na baraka. (Even Raila's handshake must be prayed for to receive blessings.)" read the caption.

Rumours had earlier swirled that Sonko and Natasha dated some time back but the reverend quickly shut them down.

On Sonko's Facebook timeline, Kenyans took an issue with Sonko's decision to post the photo and with Raila in particular.

Some even posed the love question to him which he quickly answered with the fact that he was married to a wife who was quickly showing interest in the political field.

"Hi mike Sonko, your excellency governor, I just discovered we are related today because am also crushing on this woman," posted one user.

"We agreed that no posting on Friday evening mheshimiwa (your honour)," posted another.

"Can she pray for me as a voter so that I don’t lose my voting card before 2022?" Shared Steve Okuku.

Natasha, during an interview with K24 TV anchor, Betty Kyallo, clarified that her relationship with the governor was strictly spiritual and that he was a prayer partner.

“He is someone I have prayed with many times on various issues. I have never dated Governor Mike Sonko,” Natasha revealed at the time.

Rumours that she was dating Sonko surfaced after some pictures of the governor with the religious preacher went viral. Other allegations were that the Jubilee Governor was funding her ministry.

“Actually the pictures going round were those we took with the current Governor while he was a Senator. They are professional pictures and people sometimes think they way they want too.

“People crucify you from the court of public opinion, without getting proper information,” Natasha further emphasised.
