Former DPP Accuses DCI of Planting Cohen's Body at Scene [VIDEO]

In a surprising turn of events, Sarah Wairimu's lawyer Philip Murgor, has accused DCI George Kinoti of planting billionaire Tob Cohen's body at the scene of the crime to frame her for his murder.

During a press conference on Saturday, September 14, Murgor alleged that the manhole where Cohen's body was found was not searched on the initial days of the investigation. This is, according to Murgor, despite DCI Kinoti being aware of its presence.

He claimed that on Wednesday, September 11, DCI Kinoti saw a manhole while searching the Kitusuru residence with Wairimu in tow, but it was decided that they would not continue with the search that day since they had already "done enough".

"The next day, instead of going back to the scene, the DCI took Sarah to the Milimani Law Courts and charged her with murder," he claimed.

He further claimed that the cement on the manhole where the body was recovered was still fresh, appearing to have been around three or four days old, yet Sarah had already been in custody for 17 days.

He accused Maxwell Otieno, an investigating officer of taking the house keys from the workers and forcing them into the house on Tuesday, where they stayed for two straight days.

On Thursday, September 11, 2.40 p.m., the lawyer told the media that he called the caretaker to see if everything was okay, but as soon as the caretaker told them that the investigators were inside the house, the phone was snatched from him.

He stated that they immediately read malice because the DCI went to the scene of the crime to continue with the search without Sarah and her legal team, which was against the law.

Murgor claimed that he and his team immediately drove to the residence and sneaked into the compound that was swarming with activity.

"This time they focused on the two places that they had ignored on Wednesday, and it seemed that only police officers seemed to know where exactly the body was," he declared.

He further accused him of announcing that Tob Cohen's body had been found without even conducting a DNA test to ascertain if it were truly his body.

He stated that the DCI has taken the step to prosecute Wairimu through the press. This, he told, was because the DCI had not given the defense team a single strand of evidence, yet the media had all the evidence collected in the case.

These, in his opinion, were enough grounds to prove that DCI Kinoti and his team had planted the body on the scene.
