How Linturi Used Oscar Sudi, 6 Choppers to Win Kitany's Love

During a court session on Tuesday, September 24, Marriane Kitany's mother, Rodah Chepkoech Kitany, disclosed that Kapsaret MP, Oscar Sudi, went down on one knee to request for her daughter's hand in marriage.

The MP knelt down on behalf of the Meru Senator, Mithika Linturi, during a church fundraising as the Star reports.

"Oscar Sudi even knelt down at the same function and asked for Kitany's hand in marriage on behalf of Linturi. It was the biggest function. Almost six choppers came for the fundraiser," Rhodah stated.

Meru Senator Mithika Linturi's estranged wife Marianne Kitany. She confessed that she had found the love of her life to her mother in 2016.

She added that various leaders among them; Nandi Governor Stephen Sang, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu and Energy CS Charles Keter had attended the fundraising.

The 65-year-old told the court that in 2016, her daughter disclosed that she had found the love of her life.

In her testimony, she added that the two were to travel to Australia so as to get to know each other well.

“In 2016, my daughter told me that she wanted to bring Linturi home so that he could pay dowry. I welcomed the plan. I, therefore, invited my relatives from Kericho,” Rhoda narrated.

Kitany's mother, who also doubles up as a pastor at the Africa Gospel Church, stated that during her daughter's dowry negotiations, Linturi was asked to affirm if he loved her daughter.

“All through the dowry negotiation process, Marianne was locked up in her room. Once we had agreed on the dowry, she was asked to come and identify her man.  She was asked if she was sure she wanted to marry Linturi, she said ‘yes’. She was asked if she loved him, she said ‘yes’.

“Linturi was also asked the same set of questions, to which he answered in the affirmative. He was also asked if he was sure he loved Marianne and not her wealth, he said he loved her genuinely, and not her money,” Ms Rhoda told the court.

Ms Rhoda added that when asked about his marital status, the Meru senator afirmed that he was divorced.
