Citizen TV anchor Waihiga Mwaura on Sunday, September 29, took to social media to celebrate his wife's birthday.
Mwaura, who is in Germany for a Global Investigative Journalism Conference couldn't be with his wife Switch TV show host Joyce Omondi.
Despite the distance, Waihiga remembered his wife's birthday stating, "Celebrating another trip around the sun for my queen Joyce Omondi. May you have an wonderful day on stage at the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir.
"So proud of what you've achieved and looking forward to more of God's blessings over you in this new year," he declared.
Joyce, on her part, is in New York for the Goal Keepers Summit and stated that she decided to attend Sunday service at the Brooklyn Tabernacle.
"See, I have listened to their music since I was a child and have always admired their powerful ministry. Plus, it's my birthday tomorrow and I didn't wanna spend it 'alone' since my husband (Waihiga) is in Germany for his own conference.
"What's more, tomorrow we actually get to sing in the service, with the choir, on my birthday! I'm so grateful to be here. I'm encouraged, refreshed, challenged and just in awe of Jesus!"she declared.
During a past TV interview, Joyce who is also a gospel musician did not give Mwaura an easy time when they first met.
Joyce admitted that Mwaura who was then love-struck, went to great lengths to meet her but to his disappointment, she refused to give in to his desires.
