Moses Kuria Exposes Duale's Secret Plan, Dares Him in Public

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria on Sunday, October 27, disclosed that National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale was eyeing the State House Comptroller role in 2022.

In a Facebook post, the fiery legislator claimed that Duale was only pursuing his selfish interests by pushing for a parliamentary system of governance.

He went on to explain that the Garissa Township MP was backing the agenda because he knew that it would irk people from Central Kenya.

"Aden Duale's tirade against Mt Kenya is a facade. Don't be fooled that Duale supports a parliamentary system. He knows that by purporting to support a parliamentary system he infuriates Mt Kenya to the core.

"Since Duale is already positioning himself to be Comptroller of State House in 2022, there is no way he wants any change in the architecture of the presidency as it is. So, my friend, we know your handwriting," Kuria wrote.

Further, he challenged Duale to compete with him for the leader of majority position, adding that he would win easily.

"But let's do a rehearsal. I challenge you to an open contest through a fresh election of the Leader of Majority. Bring it on, man. I will beat you hands down.

"You are the leader of majority courtesy of Mt Kenya vote. 84% of President Kenyatta's votes came from Mt Kenya. And now you call us selfish. And you want to use our votes again to propel you to be comptroller of State House. We are stupid, yes, but not that much," his post read.

On Saturday, October 26, Duale stated that the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) should recommend a constitutional change from the presidential system to a pure parliamentary system.

He explained that the new system would shift powers from Central Kenya to other communities.
