Gift Atubukha Khalwale, former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale's daughter was among the 1,088,986 candidates, who sat the KCPE examination in 2019.
Atubukha emerged as one of the top candidates in KCPE 2019, garnering 396 marks.
During a live Tuesday, November 19, interview on NTV, Khalwale praised her daughter as a hardworking and strong girl, who had made the family proud.
"When she was sitting her exam, is when we were burying her mother and we had kept it away from her but she got to know because of the media. We are very happy that she did well," Khalwale expressed during the live show.
The release of the national examinations came barely 17 days after pupils took part in the annual exercise.
Magoha announced that the Form One selection process was set to commence on Tuesday, November 19.
"By December 2, every child who sat KCPE 2019 will know what school they will join. Ksh 8 billion has been set aside to improve infrastructure in high schools and primary schools," Magoha announced.
On October 5, 2019, the senator's first wife, Adelaide Khalwale, died of hypertension.
The politician had taken to his Facebook page to announce the sad news. The couple had been married for 39 years.
"A sad morning. Death has just robbed my first wife," he had told his followers.
