Citizen TV News Anchor Lands New Show

Citizen TV news anchor and reporter Kimani Mbugua has landed a new show segment.

Mbugua will be a host on a segment on Citizen TV's sister station Inooro TV from Monday to Friday, during the breakfast show.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Kimani stated that he would be seeking to know some of the daily routines of the Kenyan citizens.

"It's a segment like the one I do on Citizen TV called Day Break. The whole idea is to spark a conversation on the errands people are running on that day.

"We will meet people and interact with them as they go to work or walking around the town," Kimani remarked.

The media personality is known for his traffic updates on the Kilimani-based broadcaster as well as a light segment on Friday 9 p.m. bulletin, where he asks random people to explain things, to the amusement of the audience.

This came only a week after Mbugua, alongside Citizen TV presenter Willis Raburu and Patrick Igunza launched a show titled The Happy Hour on Hot 96 FM that airs from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays.

Kimani, who is the youngest news anchor at the station, joined Citizen TV in May 2018 from NTV where he worked as digital producer.
