Sabina Chege Shouted Down Infront of Ruto

Murang'a Woman Representative Sabina Wanjiru Chege found herself on the wrong side of her electorate after the crowd she was addressing shouted her down.

She had attended a women empowerment drive at Maragua, Murang’a County on December 6, an event also graced by Deputy President William Ruto.

In a video seen by Kenyans.co.ke, she had tried to defend President Uhuru Kenyatta against allegations of having neglected his backyard after the 2017 General Election.

"Do you think the president lives in Somalia or Kenya, and do you think he doesn't know your problems?" Sabina asked promoting disapproving grunts from the visibly angry crowd.

She tried to convince the residents that President Kenyatta would visit the area to have a candid discussion about matters affecting them, but they would have none of it.

Sabina had earlier stated that the Jubilee Party leader had not changed his mind about the 2013 agreement with his deputy.

"Has the president ever visited this place and told you had changed his mind over 2013 agreement? His stand remains the same," she reiterated.

The Murang'a woman rep also revealed details of a meeting at State House that the president had convened, where she claimed he stated that leaders who would support the DP were the ones closest to his heart.

She affirmed that they was no longer division in the ruling party and every one of its members was behind the leadership of President Kenyatta and his deputy.

"We are no longer here or there, we are together in the government led by number one President Uhuru Kenyatta and his number two, William Ruto,"  Sabina concluded sparking cheers from the crowds.
