BBC correspondent for North America, Larry Madowo, has gone into quarantine.
Madowo announced to his followers on Tuesday, March 2, that he had to self-isolate after interacting with someone who had tested positive for Covid-19.
"After filming in New York last week, someone on my crew tested positive. In line with CDC guidelines, I’ve tested and I’m in quarantine because I was exposed," Madowo stated.
The media personality also posted a video while taking the covid-19 test which he termed as 'intense'.
"That is more intense than it was the last time, now what I need to do is to wait for the results," Madowo disclosed.
It is not clear whether Madowo has received the Covid-19 vaccine which was rolled out in December 2020.
Madowo left Kenya for the US in 2019 to pursue a Master's Degree in Business and Economics at Columbia University.
He then united with BBC, where he became a correspondent based in Washington DC from June 2020.
He has anchored Breaking News from the Washington DC studios, covered the US elections and presented its flagship program BBC World News America.
While covering the polls in Atlanta City, Georgia, one of the battleground states, he won accolades after he was filmed donning a face mask with the colors of the Kenyan flag.
