She was also spotted struggling with the car which appeared to have had mechanical issues.

Security officers at the lot were reported to have approached to assist her. However, she turned down their offer, insisting that she had reached out to a friend who was rushing to her aid.

Eyewitnesses who found her dead reported that they were passing by but were attracted to the car owing to her seating position.

They added that the car’s window was slightly open and the door’s automatic locks were off. The eyewitnesses immediately opened the door and discovered she was unresponsive to speech.

They reportedly attempted to resuscitate after failing to feel her pulse but all was in vain.

Emergency service providers who arrived a few minutes later ferried her body to a nearby morgue in Bedford, Texas, where an autopsy was conducted by a certified pathologist.

The medical examiner recorded the cause of death as “pending”.

Ogutu was a registered nurse and a member of Truevine International Inc.

The family organised an online fundraiser and urged well-wishers to aid the family accord her a decent burial as they waited for the autopsy report.
