The Judiciary has announced a mass recruitment exercise with hundreds of positions to be filled.
In an advertisement published on Friday, October 8, the Judiciary announced job vacancies ranging from drivers to court clerks and even engineers.
The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) stated that it expects to receive all applications on or before the end of day October 29, 2021.
The positions advertised are on a permanent and pensionable basis.
Among the positions, the Judiciary is seeking to fill is that of the Senior Public Affairs and Corporate Communications Officer. There is only one post for this vacancy.
This will be on a three-year contract renewable subject to satisfactory performance. The person who gets this position will be paid a gross salary of between Ksh169,800 - Ksh227,600 per month.
JSC also advertised the position of two Senior Law Clerks on a similar three-year contract that's renewable subject to satisfactory performance. They will earn a gross salary of between Ksh225,000 – Ksh360,000 monthly.
Other positions included six law clerks on a gross salary of between Ksh180,000 – Ksh324,000 per month but on a three year renewable contract.
JSC is also seeking to recruit 500 Court Assistants on a permanent basis with a gross salary of Ksh61,400 - Ksh79,300 per month. They will also be entitled to a pension.
There are also 30 permanent and pensionable positions for drivers who will earn a monthly gross salary of between Ksh61,400 - Ksh79,300. They will also be entitled to a pension.
A Risk Management Officer's position was advertised by the JSC with the holder joining as a permanent and pensionable staffer with a gross salary of between Ksh104,300 – Ksh131,100.
One post for a Senior Architect earning Ksh169,800 – Ksh227,600 per month was also advertised. The position will be permanent and pensionable. The JSC also seeks to recruit a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer who will get a salary of Kshs169,800 – Ksh227,600 monthly on a permanent and pensionable basis.
JSC is seeking to fill the position of Senior Mechanical Engineer earning a gross salary of Kshs169,800 – Ksh227,600 on a permanent and pensionable basis as well.
The position of a Senior Electrical Engineer was also declared vacant and the holder will be absorbed on a permanent and pensionable basis and earning a monthly gross salary of between Kshs169,800 – Ksh227,600.
JSC further announced four positions of Senior Quality Surveyors on a permanent and pensionable basis, earning a Ksh169,800 – 227,600 gross salary.
Four positions for a Superintendent of Works on a permanent and pensionable basis were also advertised. Those in this position will earn a salary of between Kshs94,400 – Ksh118,900. One post for a Senior Draughtsman will see the holder earn between Ksh83,300 – Ksh106,400 per month.
Ten positions for a Chargehand were also advertised by the JSC. This is a permanent and pensionable post with a salary range of between Ksh73,000 – Ksh93,900.
