“We will be opening this stadium tomorrow (October 20) at 5:00am, we expect that people who have been invited will be seated latest 7:30am,” Kibicho stated.

Kibicho further gave details on how the invitation cards will be used, adding that there are three categories of cards: Red sticker cards, blue sticker cards and green sticker cards.

“All the people who will be holding the blue stickers are the ones who will be flanking the main dias and will walk through gate number three. If they are driving, they will park at Ngurubani Primary School and walk to the stadium.”

For the green stickers, Kibicho stated that most will arrive by communal transport such as buses while others will come in their private vehicles.

“We expect those people to have arrived and parked at National Irrigation Board parking ground by 7:30am and any holder of those green stickers who will not have arrived by then will not be allowed entry,” added Kibicho.

Kibicho added that the VIP’s will have the red stickers and will largely occupy the main dias.

"All holders of the red stickers will be dropped off at gate number two where they will walk through the screening machines and come to their designated seating area."

Kibicho noted that the stadium has a total of eight gates where the green sticker holders will be spread around the remaining gates.

The Interior PS added that entertainment will start at about 7:30am when everyone is expected to have settled and will continue until 10:30am when the VIPs arrive after which the function will start officially.

“Invitation here is by card and if you don’t have either a red, green or blue card, you are advised to stay at home and watch the proceedings of this important function on television," added Kibicho.
