Former Machakos County First Lady, Lilian Ng'ang'a, has issued three demands to her estranged partner, Governor Alfred Mutua, as the wrangle between the duo escalates.

Ng’ang’a through her lawyer, Gachie Omwanza, filed two suits at the Milimani Commercial Court seeking to have Mutua restrained from doing a number of things.

She argued that she was terrified of Mutua’s threats and actions and also wanted to enjoy her personal space as the two battle it out in court over their separation.

“What I want is for the court to permanently stop him and his servants from coming close to me, accessing my home, visiting my workplace or seizing any of my property. I am apprehensive that he can break into my home.

“He is capable of doing anything using unorthodox means. He has already threatened to forcefully seize my properties,” Ng’ang’a stated in an affidavit.

Ng'ang'a also wants the court to order the Governor to return her car that he seized. The businesswoman alleged that Mutua seized the car from her parking lot and drove it away after the two parted ways in August this year.

“Mutua should be blocked from selling the car,” Ng’ang’a wrote to the court, adding that she purchased the vehicle seven years ago and is one of her major assets.

“Accompanied by his police guard, Mutua arrived at my apartment parking lot in Kileleshwa, Nairobi, and without my knowledge or consent and using a spare key which he had legally obtained, drove away my personal motor vehicle which had been fully registered in my name since 2014,” the lady claimed in a press conference with her lead lawyer, Senior Counsel Philip Murgor, on Thursday, November 4.

She now wants Mutua ordered to surrender the vehicle to Kilimani Police Station as she had requested the court to effect a restraining order stopping him from accessing her home.

The Machakos Governor has not yet responded to the demands filed in court.

However, on Thursday, November 4, Mutua played coy with the matter and quoted Max Ehrmann’s poem ‘Desiderata’ stating: “Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.”
