KDF Releases Names of Shortlisted Candidates, Sets Dates and Interview Venues

The Ministry of Defence has released names of candidates shortlisted for various positions within the military and dates for the interviews.

Through a communication relayed on the official website on Friday, December 3, the Ministry of Defense released the full names with their national identity card numbers for the Specialist Officers and Tradesmen/women posts.

The Ministry further issued interview dates and venues for the same.

Successful candidates for the positions of tradesmen/women have been advised to report to Embakasi Garrison based in Nairobi on Sunday, December 5 from 8am.

Specialist Officer candidates have been advised to report to Kenya Military Academy in Lanet, Nakuru on Sunday, December 12 at 8.00am.

Ministry of Defense has further made it clear that the interviews will be free but all candidates must bring with them an Original National Identity (ID) card and four copies of their academic and professional certificates, curriculum vitae, and any other testimonials.

They will be offered free accommodation and food during the interview period. Those who fail the interview will be reimbursed road traveling expenses in accordance with Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) regulations.

How to Check for Those Shortlisted

Candidates can check if they have been shortlisted by visiting the Ministry of Defense online page where all the names have been published together with ID details.

This is will be the first batch to join the military that sought to bring on board the General Service Officer Cadets (Graduate degree holders), Specialist Officers, General Duty Recruits, Tradesmen and women, and Defence Forces Constables.

“The public is notified that the recruitment exercise is scheduled to take place in the month of November 2021 and will take place across the country on designated dates,” the job advert read.

KDF went further to issue directives to curb cases of cheating and fraud during the period of recruitment. They announced those picked would be notified through a gazette publication.
