Outspoken Kenyan lawyer, Miguna Miguna now claims that President Uhuru Kenyatta's endorsement of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga will do more harm than good to his State House bid.

In a TV interview on Wednesday, February 23, Miguna pointed out that President Kenyatta's ten-year term has been characterized by extremely high cost of living, reducing a majority of Kenyans to paupers.

"The path is muddy and not very clear at all, if anything, Uhuru has made it completely impossible for Raila to become president of Kenya.

"An endorsement from the most unpopular president since independence is not a good thing for anyone running for President," he stated.

The outspoken lawyer further intimated that Raila had received immense support in the past elections as he symbolised a resistance against the status quo. Miguna, however, noted that the current Raila would not secure the top seat- if he's touted and perceived as a state project.

Revisiting history, the lawyer added that candidates who received support from sitting presidents never won elections.

He noted that Deputy President William Ruto was enjoying massive support in the vote-rich mount Kenya region.

According to the exiled lawyer, with the inclusion of Amani National Congress (ANC) Musalia Mudavadi and his FORD-Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula, receiving the full backing in the Western region would be a tall order for the former Premier.

This comes as the Head of State trashed his Deputy William Ruto during the Sagana III meeting, questioning him on a number of things including the source of his funds.

"You can't do all these while carrying a Bible. Church leaders, stop lying to the people. Each and every one of us loves God. And loves peace.

" And we tithe according to how God has blessed us. Don't come here lying to us because you have been given money,"President Kenyatta stated.
