Billionaire Humphrey Kariuki has advised President William Ruto to invest in Kenyan businesses in the country and those abroad.

Ruto, according to Kariuki, ought to also curb taxation being used to orchestrate witchhunt against traders.

The businessman expressed confidence in the Ruto-Rigathi government to ensure the economy is friendlier to Kenyans who have complained about the skyrocketing cost of living.

"Tax needs to be paid, but using it as a weapon of oppression. This drives businessmen out of the country,"  he stated.
