Kiambu Tycoon Stabbed at Butchery Over Sh950

Police in Kiambu County are investigating the death of a tycoon which has left a myriad of questions over the circumstances in which the businessman lost his life.

The deceased identified as Moses Machua, was allegedly stabbed by a butcher-man after a quarrel over Sh950 balance when he asked for it after settling his Sh5,000 bill.

Shortly before Machua met his untimely death, he was reportedly hanging out at an old friend's pub in Ruiru alongside four others whom they had allegedly sealed a multimillion land deal.

The deceased later went to clear his bill only for an exchange to ensue between him and the butcher.

Amid the exchange, the butcher is said to have reached out for a sword and stabbed Machua in the stomach.

He was later rushed to the police station before being taken to hospital a move that has been criticized by the family.

Sources privy to the investigations who spoke to K24, claim to sense foul play in the happening, noting that taking the deceased to the police first could have been a scheme to buy time and have Machua dead.

The butcher has since gone on the run almost seven days after committing the offence. Machua is set to be laid to rest on Thursday.
