David Lang'at

David Langat, is a Kenyan business magnate, who is behind the Ksh200 B Africa Economic Zones (AEZ) Pearl River Industrial Park in Uasin Gishu County, Eldoret. 

The Industrial Park is expected to create more job opportunities and accelerate the growth of new industries.

Langat is the chairman and founder of DL Group of Companies, established in the 1980’s.

Despite his immense power in business and politics, the Mombasa-based tycoon prefers to keep a low profile.

Langat owns Nyali Super Centre, the mall has shops, supermarkets, restaurants and showrooms.

He also owns Sunrise Resort and other prime real estate projects at the coast.

Moreover, he is the owner of Kapchebet Tea Factory and Selenkei Investments Limited.

Langat is a holder of the Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (MBS) and in 2016, he was named  Mombasa's best business leader by the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) Mombasa Chapter.

In 2018, the billionaire acquired three British firms; Mufindi Tea and Coffee Limited, Rift Valley Tea Solutions Limited and Kibena Tea Limited.
