
Dr. Joy Mugambi is a prominent family medicine specialist and health leader. She made history in November 2024 by becoming the Secretary General of the Commonwealth Medical Association (CMA) during its 27th Biennial Conference in Chennai, India.
Dr. Mugambi previously served as Vice President for the East, Central, and Southern Africa region of the CMA for two terms, championing improved healthcare policies and practices.
Her achievements include the Kenya Medical Association Distinguished Service Award (2021), the Kenya Association of Family Physicians 5-Star Doctor Award (2022), and the Fellow of Commonwealth Medical Association Award (2023).
