Anne Waiguru

Anne Waiguru is the Governor of Kirinyaga County.

Born in 1972, Waiguru joined Nairobi River Primary School before heading to Precious Blood Girls Secondary School, Riruta. 

She moved to Egerton University where she graduated with a Degree in Agriculture and Home Economics.

Charity Ngilu

Charity Kaluki Ngilu is the current Kitui County Governor. She is one of the three women governors that were elected as governors in the 2017 General Election.

Ngilu’s political career spans three decades having first vied and won the Kitui central parliamentary seat in 1992.

Ali Hassan Joho

Ali Hassan Joho is the governor of Mombasa County and the Deputy Party Leader of the Orange Democratic Party (ODM). 

Joho is currently serving his second and last term as Mombasa Governor and declared his interest in the Presidency. The former Kisauni MP is seeking to vie for the 2022 presidential election via the ODM party ticket. 

William Ruto

William Ruto is the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya and the Deputy Chairman of the ruling Jubilee Party.

Ruto joined the University of Nairobi  and graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Botany and Zoology before returning to the same institution for a Master’s in Plant Ecology and graduated with a PhD in 2018.

Uhuru Kenyatta

Uhuru Kenyatta is the President of the Republic of Kenya and the leader of Jubilee Party. He is the son of the founding President Jomo Kenyatta and his fourth wife Mama Ngina Kenyatta.

Uhuru was elected to the Presidency in 2013 and later re-elected in 2017 for a second term in a hotly contested General Election.

Ledama Ole Kina

Ledama Ole Kina is a Kenyan politician who serves as the Senator for Narok County. Olekina was elected on an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket in the August 8, 2017, general elections in Kenya.

The outspoken Narok Senator, in May 2020, briefly became the Chair of the powerful Senate County Public Accounts and Investment Committee (CPAIC).

Kimani Wamatangi

Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi also serves as the Senate Majority Whip, a position he was elected to in February 2021.

He replaced Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata who was ousted after a Jubilee Parliamentary Group meeting.

Irungu Kang'ata

Irungu Kang'ata is the Senator for Murang'a County, and the former Senate Majority Chief Whip.

He was a beneficiary of the Jubilee purge in 2020 when he replaced Susan Kihika as the Senate Majority Chief Whip of The Jubilee Party. 

Fatuma Dulo

Senator Fatuma Dullo is the current Deputy Majority Leader of the Senate. She is the first elected female Senator for Isiolo County. 

At 23 years she made history by serving as the first female District Officer from the Borana Community.

Mutula Kilonzo Jr

Mutula Kilonzo Junior is the current Senator for Makueni County and an advocate of the High court of Kenya.

He was elected as the second Senator of Makueni County on the WDM-K ticket in a by-election in July 2013, after the demise of his father Mutula Kilonzo, and is currently serving his second term since his election in August 2017.
