M-pesa Foundation has announced a Ksh68 million towards the improvement of infrastructure at Chepsaita Secondary School in Uasin Gishu County.

The Foundation seeks to construct and equip the science, home science and computer laboratories, a new library and a 100-bed and girls' dormitory and also furnish an administration block to support 20 teachers at the school.

In the next three years, over 3 million students are expected to benefit from M-Pesa Foundation initiatives such as a scholarship program for senior school students and a TVET program that will equip the learners with the requisite skills for the job market.

“At M-Pesa Foundation, our purpose is to transform lives through programs in health, education, environmental conservation and integrated water and livelihoods initiatives. In education, we will continue to provide schools with infrastructure support such as we have today, and we aim to impact three million learners over the next three years,” said Nicholas Nganga, Chairman, of M-Pesa Foundation.
