Obiri is a Kenyan middle-distance runner and world 5000 metres champion.

She won gold in the 2017 World Championships in London and defended her title at the 2019 World Championships, in Doha. 

Eliud Kipchoge

Eliud Kipchoge is the world record holder in the 42 km marathon with a time of 2:01:39, set on September 16, 2018, at the 2018 Berlin Marathon.

At the age of eighteen, he became the senior 5000m world champion at the 2003 World Championships in Athletics with a championships record.

Michael Olunga

Michael Olunga is a Kenyan professional footballer who plays for Japanese club Kashiwa Reysol and the Kenya national team as a forward.

Olunga on November 23 scored 7 goals as Kashiwa Reysol beat Kyoto Sanga 13-1 in the final game of the season to conclude the league as top scorer runner up with 27 goals.

He was part of the Kenyan National team that took part in the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) that was held in Cairo, Egypt.

Julius Yego

Julius Yego is a Kenyan track and field athlete who competes in the javelin throw.

In October 2019, he captained the Kenyan national team that finished second at the IAAF World Championships in Doha, Qatar with a total of 11 medals.

Yego was the first Kenyan to win a World Championships gold medal in a field event when he clinched gold in the 2015 World Championships in the Javelin throw. He holds the African and Commonwealth records for the event with a personal best of 92.72 m.

In 2016, Yego bagged a silver medal in the Rio Olympics. 

Dorcas Shikobe

She is the captain of the Kenyan women's soccer team, Harambee Starlets. In November 2019, the defender led the national team as they were crowned winners of the 2019 Cecafa Championship in Tanzania.

Starlets dethroned former champions Tanzania's Kilimanjaro Queens 2-0 in the final at the Chamazi Stadium, Dar es Saalam to lift their first-ever regional title without conceding a single goal.

The win came shortly after the team got nominated for the women's national team by the Confederation of African Football (Caf).

Brigid Kosgei

Brigid Kosgei is the current marathon World Record holder for women running in a mixed-sex race, with a time of 2:14:04 achieved on 13 October 2019 at the Chicago Marathon.

Her win shattered British Paula Radcliffe's Legendary 2:15:25 16-year World Record.

She has finished in the top two in eight of the nine marathons that she has run in her career.

Amina Mohamed

Ambassador Amina Mohamed is a Kenyan lawyer, diplomat and politician. She is presently serving as the Cabinet Secretary for Education and Sports in Kenya. 

She previously served as chairwoman of the International Organization for Migration and the World Trade Organization's General Council, as well as Assistant Secretary-General and Deputy Executive Director of the UNEP.

Eliud Kipchoge

At 40 years old, Eliud Kipchoge, the world’s greatest marathoner, continues to excel both on and off the track. Having won 15 out of the 20 marathons he has competed in, his influence transcends sport.

In 2024, the "No Human Is Limited" advocate was named a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Sports, Integrity, and Values.

Although he did not finish the marathon at the Paris 2024 Olympics, Kipchoge remains a legend in the world of sport as one of only three men to win the Olympic marathon twice.
