Cape Media, which manages TV47, and Radio47, has announced the appointment of Mwenda Njoka as the Company's Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
In a notice dated June 10, Cape Media stated that Njoka’s appointment was reached following the approval of the company’s board of directors.
Before his appointment to Cape Media, Njoka served as the CEO of the Government Press and Government Printer.
He takes over the new role from Ken Otwenyo who held the role from November 2022.
Njoka also possesses an impressive career in journalism, having held senior management positions in both print and electronic media outlets.
While at Standard Group Media which owns KTN, Njoka served as Managing Editor and Associate Editor.
He has also served at Nation Media Group and due to his investigative prowess, he earned a role at CNN Africa.
As a top-tier journalist, Njoka has won different awards including clinching the Journalist of the Year Award under the Business Category while working for CNN.
"Mr. Njoka brings a wealth of experience, having distinguished himself in the Kenyan media landscape for over 30 years," Cape Media noted in a statement.
The latest appointment forms part of Cape Media's transformative agenda as it seeks dominance in the media industry.
